Police are investigating two potentially linked ‘knife incidents’ in Enfield, north London, that involved a man being stabbed.

The Met released an image on Saturday of a man they wish to speak to in connection after both events which happened on March 2.

Initially, officers were called to Edmonton Shopping Centre to reports of a man with a knife.

Officers searched the area but found those involved had left prior to their arrival, although later it was seen that the man with the knife had himself been stabbed by another man carrying a machete.

While they were at the shopping centre, police received another call to Hertford Road in Enfield about a man with a stab injury - the same person who was knifed at the mall.

The man was taken to hospital with his injuries which were not life threatening.

“Enquiries to trace the other man are ongoing,” the Met said on Saturday. “Police have released an image of him.”

Anyone who has information that they believe could help police should call 101 ref CAD 3717/2 Mar.
